I often wonder why we stay in bad relationships? Relationships that we know are over but yet we don’t move our feet. I know myself the fear of starting all over again is a big one for me. But I often tell myself what’s the point in walking around unhappy, wishing you where dead. Your there and looking at this person and you don’t love them anymore. Your body is there but your mind and soul is somewhere else. You force yourself to remember the good old days that are years ago to keep you going. But deep down inside your miserable, you want out and you just wanna be happy for once.

Faded memories is all I have, thoughts of what we use to be. I remember the days when you use to love me. The days when you would never put another above me, but those days have faded away. Now all we have is just hopes and dreams, wishing on a star to bring us back to where we use to be. Is it possible to rid yourself of pain and misery, while still holding on to a broken memory? I once heard someone say, saying goodbye is never easy that’s what this wise lady once told me. I think her name was Gladys Night she sung a song saying neither one of us wants to be the first to say goodbye. So instead we keep living this lie, laughing and pretending that we still love each other. When the truth is we can’t stand one another. I once heard a wise lady sing saying goodbye is never easy, but holding on is much harder to do, pretending just makes you look like a fool. So I’ll take the first step and say it to you, farewell love goodbye. When I think about it it’s not that hard to do.

Why is it so hard to say goodbye a smiple one letter word. Is it because it’s filled with pain and a world unknown. Does it scare you to let go so you keep holding on. Share your thoughts.
