MassMedia Throwback Post: Lost In Translation

I wonder why people get lost in translation? I think women more than men get lost in words and ideas. I was speaking to a friend of mine who is a male. He told me “I tell women all the time I ain’t looking for a woman I just wanna cut.” He goes on to laugh about all the women that throw there self’s at him. I thought maybe he was lying about keeping it real but after having a article in the Essence magazine he put those same words in black and white and it didn’t stop his show. Women still gave him their bodies thinking there gonna whip it on him.

I get confused why women (and I am one) get lost in translation? If a man tells you he only wants to cut why waste your time and body on him? My friend says after a month or so women start to want a relationship so he has to cut them off.  Than they get mad and call him a dog or say he ain’t shi* . In my eyes he wasn’t shi* when you laid down with him! Being caught in translation can blind side you. You have to take people words for what they are. Translating them into your own ideas can be dangerous.

Here’s some examples:

A man says I just wanna cut / women translate that into he haven’t had my snapper yet I’ma put it on him and change his mind.

Men say I wanna be friends / women translate that into I’ll get him to change his mind once I put it on him.

Men say I don’t plan on marrying NEVER / Women translate that into he hasn’t met me I’ll change his mind I got that good good and I can cook.

Ladies and gentlemen lets take people words for what they are! I don’t care how good your good good is or how fye your head game can be. If a man doesn’t want a woman, wife or whatever chasing after him is not gonna change his mind or lock him down. Cooking a good plate of food and sexing him down probably wont change who he is as a person. And after three months and your feelings attach he tells you “I told you I wasn’t looking for no woman.” You feel like stabbing him with a steak knife, keying his car and catching all kind of cases. The only person you can be mad at, is yourself for getting lost in translation.

The way I see it getting lost in translation can have a sister or bother catching a case. Take people words seriously and if it’s not what your looking for than keep it moving. You CANNOT change a person they have to want to change so don’t waste your time or body on something your not looking for.
