It was cold over the weekend here in the Chi so coats, hats and gloves were needed. I ran to play my big game ticket (trying to get rich somehow). As I approached the local corner store it was three grown nothing ass nig**s hanging out. When they tried to holla at me I quickly gave them my “you playing with me look. “As I came out the store these same older men that where well into there thirties where playing and laughing in some little girls face. It was three young ladies no older than fourteen entertaining these grown man conversation. With me being a mother I quickly stepped in and yelled at the men for carrying on such an act. I didn’t care if they called me every bitc* in the book I had to say something. “Those are just babies” I yelled as I rolled my eyes.
As the young girls all looked at me and sucked their teeth I had fire in my eyes at the grown man. “It ain’t like that Shorty,” one of the guys said to me.
“Well it looks that way to me.” I said not backing down, one of the guys was rubbing his fingers threw the girls hair, while the other guy played like he was fighting the other. In my eyes he was getting free feels off the little girl. They all had on jeans tight enough to give them three yeast infections. Dead in the middle of the hawk they had their too little jackets unzipped, revealing their breast. I thought to myself where are your mothers and why are you dressed like little ho’s. The girls walked off and went home because they saw me not leaving the store until they left.
With this being said Ladies we need to step up and start setting better examples for our youth. There running wild out here, I can’t help but to think once I left they walked there fast assess back up there. But I’m okay with that because I did my part as an adult. We as woman want to do what we want to do, but we have to keep in mind we have eyes on us. When I was younger I had to leave the room when grown folks talked. I never once ever saw my mother holding an adult conversation in front of my sister and me. We need to watch how we dress, walk and talk. We have our daughters, little sisters, cousins, nieces and their friends all watching us. We are building our legacies as woman. I was taught that all a woman has is her name and once it’s messed up she ain’t goanna be worth much. No matter how much money she gets once her name is tainted it will be forever tainted. (Ex. Anna Nicole Smith, Superhead) So yeah where grown but something has to change are all our youth are going to be little black girls lost.
