I was re-reading my blog for editing mistakes and it dawned on me—I hope my message doesn’t get crossed—so it made me think of this post.
I wrote the passage above about how a woman can make a man into what she wants him to be but I wanted to clear that up.
A woman CAN NOT CHANGE a man ways, he has to want to change his ways. He will only change when he gets ready to. I don’t want people to think that I’m saying a woman can change a man doggish ways. What I was saying, is a man that has potential to be great and is dedicated to doing the right things. Than yes you can help him excel and grow into a better man.
We have to watch who we are choosing to be with and give our all to. You can’t take an old dog and teach him new tricks. Why try? I believed you could change a man once; foolishly I believe that the more love I poured on my kid’s father he would wake up and smell the coffee beans. I thought if I accepted his cheating ways and his abuse he would see that I was down for him. I was dead wrong. He is who he is, and no matter how much love and support I gave—I had to realize that he’s going to be just what he is.
A man is going to be what he wants to be, no matter how good your head is. No matter how mean of a plate you can make. No matter how many times you say I love you and do as he says. If he’s a trifling nigga than that’s who he is and only he can change who he is. He will not change his ways, in fact he’ll get worse. He’ll get angry that you want him to stop doing the shyt he’s been doing since he met you. He’ll make you feel bad like your nagging him. He won’t see the big deal in what he’s doing, why change I was like this when you met me will be his attitude. A man that wants to run the streets will run them until he realizes what he had. And that’s usually when you’ve packed and your bags and got missing on his azz.
So if you met a man and you think I’m going to change him, I’m going to make him stop chasing these women. I going to make him get a job, I’m going to make him take care of his kids. I know I can change him— please don’t waste your time. When a man is ready to be what a good man should be—than that’s when he’ll start being one.
I learned my lesson, when a man shows you who he is, than that’s who he is. You better take it for what it’s worth and not get lost in translation http://nwmasssmedia.com/2008/11/lost-in-translation//. So yes I think you can upgrade a man I feel like you can help him grow into what God wants him to be. But he’s got to be willing and ready to be the man God intended him to be.
Below is Jay-Z verse from Freeway’s single you got me.
Mami got me buyin’ property
Speedin’ too fast, high velocity
Coppin’ bracelets, baby rock piece
Vacation in Centro and Capri
And usually I be on my shit
Harlem Shakin’ these groupies off me quick
But this time it’s diff
Think the love gon’ stick
Like Velcro, let go, hell no
Ma, you know you got me
A man will only change when he’s ready—————

WHY I say that…
Just HOW do you KNOW yours is actually Good-Good ??? It can’t be from the reaction of all THOSE Weak-AZZ Loser dudes that’s been hitting it BECAUSE if it is THEN you’re STR8 Fooling yourself (Real Talk Here)
That’s a good question ima write about it
You can not change a grown azz man or woman period….For the life of me I dont understand how we as people believe we can change someone, help them grow yes, change No !
Thats a problem quite a few women have. Most of them hear what a man is saying but only a few of them are actually listening. “The first time someone shows you who they are, believe them.” — Maya Angelou
