Gossip Bites:The Grammy’s-The Good The Bad and The Arrested?

It’s that time of year again, when the creme of the crop comes out in there good cloths and sets there high hopes on winning a  trophy award from The Grammy’s. I have to be honest I did not watch the show, in fact I don’t believe I watched The Grammy’s since MC Hammer preformed. Even though I sure I missed out on a great show, I wanted to recap it for my readers. (Jennifer Hudson taking her award which she deserved. I’m glad to see her keep moving forward like her mother would have wanted her to–much blessing to you-Chi-Town-Diva)

It was drama, sad news and great victory this year at the award show. The red carpet was not all of that however it was some winning looks that I loved.

Man Keyshia Cole has upgraded herself from ghetto hood chick into a beautiful young lady, she looked stunning last night.

 All the stars came out and brought out there good cloths–But hey where’s the Diva’s Beyonce-Alicia Keys-Mary J Blige- I guess they all had other things better to do.–Nas I see you with your church shoes on trying to get your grown man on–congrats on the new baby..

I seen a few people that I could give out my No Maim-No Sir award to but I didn’t know them but I had to give out one to Estelle—

 No Maim–that’s all–I liked your performance though.

I also saw a few faces from the milk carton and I thought–man it’s been a long time—

I guess if you don’t have anything else going why not sit through a four hour award show? Cindy I see you–I still love Girls Just Want to Have Fun..

On a serious note– The Grammy festivals were stricken with horrible news that Usher’s wife Tameka Foster fell ill due to a plastic surgery treatment she was receiving in Brazil. Usher had to cancel his performances to catch a flight to be by her side. I prayed for her yesterday and will ask you guys to keep her in your prayers.

Reps for Usher declined to comment or elaborate on the sad news, but a source close to the 30-year-old denies rumors that his wife, Tameka Foster, 37, had died following plastic surgery. Access Hollywood does report, however, that Foster did suffer complications from a cosmetic procedure in Brazil. – Yahoo! News

And the arrested party is Chris Brown– Chris Brown was arrested and booked on charges that he assaulted a unnamed woman. Here’s what the media is reporting below—

Grammy day was supposed to be a glittery affair for R&B’s reigning It couple, Chris Brown and Rihanna. But things have gone horribly amiss. Los Angeles police have confirmed Brown, 19, is being investigated for felony domestic battery. Sources tell E! News that the alleged victim was Rihanna, 20, and that she had visible bruises on her face. Both bailed on their scheduled Grammy performances.

“When we can find him we will take him into custody for questioning,” says Officer Karen Smith, an LAPD spokeswoman. “If there is probable cause for an arrest, then he will be arrested.” The incident occurred around 12:30 a.m. Sunday in the Hancock Park area of Los Angeles. Earlier in the evening Brown and Rihanna were all smiles while attending Clive Davis’ annual pre-Grammy bash together.

In a statement, police say Brown and his companion ” became involved in an argument. After stopping his car, Brown and the woman got out and the argument escalated. The woman suffered visible injuries and identified Brown as her attacker.”By the time officers arrived on the scene, Brown had split.Via E! Online

Well as of last night 12:00 am he had turned himself in and was released on 50,000 dollars bail. I hope the whole story comes out, Chris is so young and this could be a big mistake. There’s never any reason to put your hands on a woman and I know his mother is not happy with him at the moment. I will keep you updated as the story unfolds.
