Word is Fifty Cent is expected to take the stage for a “surprise” performance in his old hood Jamaica, Queens on Family Day which is takes place on August 30th. The event is expected to draw an estimated 10,000 local residents, however city officials fear that something will pop off and by that I’m talking about gunshots. Due to the possible threat of innocent people being shot, they’ve recruited an “army of cops” to shut down the area. Word is hundreds of cops, including officers from special gang units will be in attendance as well. According to Community Board 12 manager Yvonne Reddick,

“The concern is the (lack of) manpower. That’s a lot of people. The park is surrounded by a residential community.

While an NYPD source tells the NYPost,

“We can’t control the area. (It’s) an outdoor event – people could walk in from anywhere.” Another snitch adds, “Someone’s gonna try to make a name for themselves. They’re gonna take a shot at him and they’re either gonna hit him or they’re gonna miss him and hit some poor, innocent kid or grandmother.”

Fifty’s mouthpiece Keesha Johnson has confirmed that he will make an appearance, but his ass will not be getting on stage.
