Do You Have Herpes? 1 Out Of 2 People Does!

The Center For Disease Control has released alarming new test results that claim 48% of Black women between ages 14 and 49 have herpes simplex virus type 2 (HSV-2), a lifelong and incurable infection that can cause recurrent and painful genital sores.
The medical group released a press release Tuesday detailing their findings.
According to the CDC herpes is still one of the most common sexually transmitted diseases in the United States.
The study shows that women and Blacks are the most commonly infected with women at 20.5% and Blacks at 39.2%, nearly three times the rate of whites at 12.3%. Black women top everyone else’s rates altogether at 48%.
Kevin Fenton, M.D., director of CDC’s National Center for HIV/AIDS, Viral Hepatitis, STD, and TB Prevention, released a statement saying that the high rate of genital herpes is likely linked to the disproportionate HIV problem in the Black community.
“We are particularly concerned about persistent high rates of herpes among African-Americans, which is likely contributing to disproportionate rates of HIV in the black community.”
The CDC also estimates that over 80 percent of those with HSV-2 are unaware of their infection. Symptoms may be absent, mild, or mistaken for another condition. People with HSV-2 often transmit it without knowing it, they may have no visible sores or signs.

nichelle, maybe you need to ask monique how does it feel to have an std?
Why did my neighbor tell me her daughter had Herpes? She is a stripper so should I be surprised? LOL. Not sterotyping strippers, if you saw this girl you wouldn’t be surprised either. 48% of black women, that’s way too high. I have never had a STD and don’t want one. LOL. I think that ppl should do the 90 day probationary peroid (Steve Harvey) with a potential new partner, and go to the clinic together and exchange the results. There are too many preventiable measures not to get a STD. Ppl need to be more selective and protected.
See this is why i don’t eat women out if my lips ever bump up ill have to hurt somebody..i keep the hat on i don’t want nomore kids.

LOL @ no more kids. I stopped at 3. Some ppl may be so desperate to get laid or have a man that they can’t be honest with them. This does go both ways. Men and women both need to share their results from the doctor/clinic. Living well is the best revenge, having a STD and not telling your partner is not good.
Unfortunately, STD rates soar worldwide!!! Use a condom to protect you yourself!!!!

At this point in time there is an overload of details on how you can treat yeast infection. A lot of so called specialists that for some reason keep saying things which are completely opposite to each other. And I realize how straightforward it is to get confused.and it can make your everyday life a real pain in case you do not know the way to treat it properly.
