So you want to date somebodies husband? Well do it at your own risk most states are adopting laws where wives can sue you for emotional distress. I don’t know I think more states should pick up this law to keep men from straying, I know if I could be sued by a mans wife I’ll pass because it ain’t worth paying for. Cynthia Shackelford, 60, used a little-known law in her native state of North Carolina to bring a suit against Anne Lundquist, the lover whom she claims wrecked her 33-year marriage to husband Allan.
Lundquist was charged with “alienation of affections” – or interfering in a marriage – in one of the few American states that allow someone to sue over such a clause.
She was ordered to pay the $9 million in damages to Shackelford by a court in Greensboro, N.C., last week.
“I had not a clue that Allan would wander,” Shackelford told local newspaper the Greensboro News & Record. “He kept telling me ‘Oh, she’s just a friend. There’s no affair. I love you.’”
The spurned spouse, who gave up her teaching career to look after her former husband and their two children, said she hoped the ruling would deter other would-be mistresses of married men.
“We would like for people to respect the sanctity of marriage,” Shackelford said.
“We wanted a number high enough that it would keep other people from … going after other married spouses.”
I wonder was his dyck worth nine million dollars??????

guess 9 million would help you sleep with a broken heart
why waste your time in suing the jump-off, just get his money and move the hell on!
The other woman did not wreck your home, your husband did. The wife says, “We would like for people to respect the sanctity of marriage,” but her husband is the one that disrespected her marriage. The marriage is between the man and the wife. The jumpoff did not go before God and promise anything. I’m not taking up for these sideline hoes but I think she should have started with her husband first.
Maybe he was broke shrugs I’d sue both to keep it real. Hell if I could I would use all my benefits why not

I so agree with you! Now his punk azz sitting somewhere, more then likely with someone else.
THESE Jump-Offs Power-N-Influence is becoming An EPIDEMIC — LOL (But I’m Being So REAL…) I CAN’T wait until These WIVES start having their Husbands have THESE Jump-OFFS Come-Up-Missing (LOL) I COULD Very-Easily see this becoming A “Snapped” Phenomenon (REAL…)
I agree that the husband is the prime target here, and I hope the wife got a nice divorce settlement, LOL! But if you KNOWINGLY sleep with a married man, you’re just as culpable.
The jump off was not the one who took the vows, I get that, but I have said before, sue her and divorce him for half. It’s a win win. LOL. I do think if more State impleminted this ppl would think twice. Just because she sued for $9 mill and won does not mean she will ever receive one dime. Some lawsuits never get paid, it’s the messege behind it, but I’m all for it.
She could have sued the woman, got half from (being that she helped him make a home and raise their family) her hubby and do like one woman did who had her husband stand outside in a populated area with a sign saying he cheated on his wife.lol
