J Lo Ex Tries To Sell Honeymoon Tapes At Public Auction

Ojani Noa, the former husband ofJennifer Lopez, is reportedly bankrupt as a result of his long court battle with the actress/singer, and he wants to put their personal home video tapes up for auction to help with his debt

The tapes are at the root of their legal squabble, which started last year, when Noa attempted to use parts of the footage in a movie he was creating about his life. Lopez filed a $10 million suit against him in November 2009 and blocked the release of any of the footage, and thereby held up his movie.

“The lawsuit put me through so much pain and frustration,” said Noa to the New York Post. “I’m losing everything.”

Noa’s plan is to declare bankruptcy and sell his assets including his car and personal belongings at a public auction, but Lopez’ lawyers want to make sure that the tapes are not a part of the package.

“Both the preliminary injunction and the permanent injunction are still in force and effect,” said Lopez’ attorney, John Lavely. “Offering for sale or selling the videotape would constitute a willful violation.”

According to Noa, the legal battle is not only effecting the production of his movie because backers “are afraid to invest in the project” but also his other avenues of income.

“I can’t go to work because anytime I go to a casting, people are afraid to hire me because of the judgement on my head,” he explained. “[They are] skeptical [because] of what I’m going through.”
