Erykah Badu Pleads Not Guity To Disorderly Conduct

Erykah Badu has pleaded not guilty to disorderly conduct charges levied against her following the filming of the controversial music video for her single Window Seat in downtown Dallas, Texas.
In the video, which was shot Guerilla-style (without the proper permits), Badu stripped down to her birthday suit in the middle of Dealey Plaza while surrounded by a few unsuspecting pedestrians. A citizen eventually filed a complaint with the Dallas Police Department over the incident and they subsequently charged the singer with a misdemeanor citation. The charge carries a maximum $500 fine.
In related news, Badu’s latest album, New Amerykah Part II: Return Of The Ankh was released on March 30 via Universal Motown. The project, which was a follow-up to her 2008 album, New Amerkah Part I: 4th World War, debuted at number four on the Billboard 200 chart and sold 110,000 copies in its first week.
Badu will embark on a promotional tour for the LP later this month on May 22. The trek includes stops in Baltimore, New York City, Philadelphia, Washington D.C., Chicago, Memphis, and Los Angeles. She will be joined by Bilal, Janelle Monae, and N.E.R.D. for several of the dates.

She said she is willing to take one for the team. 1 citizen of Dallas will have to complain or file charges for Dallas to pursue it. So far nobody has made a formal gesture to do so. Just some wish-washy mess. She’ll be okay I think.
Did you see that fiasco of an interview Rocsi and Terrance did with her yesterday? They should have let Debra Lee do that one. They seemed so intimidated and why did Rocsi say how was it filming in NY…blah blah… Erykah then let her finish her stuff about NY and politely told her we filmed in downtown Dallas………..she is about the dumbest
