Diddy’s Supreme Team Named To The Dream Team

Originally known as The Supreme Team, Diddy’s rap super crew has changed their name after finding out that another group already owns the moniker. Now the collective, which includesRick Ross, Nicki Minaj, Busta Rhymes, Fabolous, Red Cafe,DJ Khaled, and Diddy, himself, goes by the name Dream Team.

Diddy announced the name change via his Twitter account and during a recent interview, rapper Rick Ross went into further detail about the adjustment.

“Shout out to Irv Gotti and their whole movement, they’ve been repping the Supreme Team for a minute,” explainedRoss. We were caught up in the moment; it just fit the situation so good. We kind just did our crew thing and ran with it.”

In the end though, Ross thinks that the new name fits the group better and draws comparison to the original Dream Team, which was made up of the 1992 gold-winning U.S.Olympic basketball team.

“I felt like the Dream Team was even more appropriate,” he said. “I felt that was the greatest team ever put together. They assembled the greatest players from each market on the same team and they went and took on the world. They conquered the world! Shout out to the Dream Team and theSupreme Team.”
