Lil Kim Explains Why She Called Nicki Minaj Out

Rapper Lil Kim recently did an interview with radio host Kendra G and explained her reasons for coming out and asking Nicki Minaj to pay homage. According to Kim, females in hip-hop should stick together, but they shouldn’t try to replace each other.

“Here’s my thing, all females that come in the game, we all need to stick together and I always try my best to embrace them but what happens is when you come into the game and realize that I’m not going away and my fans are still here and they just can’t step over me… they get upset and then they don’t want to be my friend anymore and I think that’s really childish,” explained Kim.

“It’s stupid because all I ask for is to be respected — pay homage at the end of the day, a lot of things go on behind the scenes that people don’t know about it and it will be aired out,” she added.

“When I came out on this promo tour, it was a reminder of where it came from because if you’re gonna swagger jack somebody and take their style, at least pay the respect and the homage.”

Kim also said that she has recently changed management alluding to earlier unconfirmed reports that she is now with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation, and she announced that a single for her forthcoming album will be hitting the airwaves soon.

Nicki and Kim have been going back and forth over the past week or so with some subliminal messages and even some a little less subtle. Drake and Ray J have taken sides, and Kendra G is already getting death threats from Nicki Minaj fans via Twitter, but who will put it on wax first? Or will this fizzle out?
