Contrary to several reports being circulated around the Internet, California rapper Game, whose real name is Jayceon Taylor, is not dead. The false information, which began to spread on Sunday evening (June 20), claimed that the rapper was shot in the head at the Beverly Hills Center in Los Angeles following an altercation. From there he was then supposedly pronounced dead at the local hospital. However,Game himself has come out and denounced the rumors.
“Whoever started [the] rumor [that] I was dead is funny as hell,” he tweeted this morning (June 21). “If [you] gone spread rumors, [be] more creative. Say, I had a fight with the Toy Story cast or [something] & it turned fatal ha ha.”
In other news, Game is scheduled to release his fourth studio LP, The R.E.D. Album, later this year on August 24th. The project, which has been heavily delayed, will feature collaborations with singers Justin Timberlake and Robin Thicke, along with rappers Jim Jones, Akon, Ray J, andT.I., amongst others.
To keep up fans’ anticipation for the album, he released a mixtape titled The Red Room, and in light of the recent push back, he has promised to release another mixtape before the album hits stores.
