Eminem’s Recovery album is expected to hit platinum this week. According toHitsDailyDouble.com, the Detroit-based rapper will sell anywhere between 320 and 340 thousand copies this week, increasing the already incredible success of his first week sales that hit over 700K copies sold. The album, produced by Dr. Dre, Boi-1da and DJ Khalil, was released by Interscope Records. It features collaborations with Lil Wayne, Rihanna, Kobe and Pink.
If Em succeeds in becoming number one on the selling charts for the second week in a row, then his album will most likely go platinum within two week of its release, thus allowing him to add yet another platinum LP to his already big collection.
Eminem’s seventh studio album has officially become the best debut of the year, followed by Drake, whose albumThank Me Later was also produced by Boi-1da.
The Young Money emcee’s debut album is expected to sell 115-125 thousand copies this week, after the 462,989 first week sales. Drake’s project already hit platinum in Canada, selling over 100,000 copies in one week after its release.
