Jay-Z is scheduled to present for the first time his soon-to-be-published memoir titled Decodedat NY Public Library in November. Hov teamed up with former The Source Editor, Dream Hampton, to write an autobiographical book that will include interviews with friends and family members, who will discuss Jigga’s troubled childhood in Marcy’s Project, Brooklyn, where he grew up.
Moreover, Jay-Z has dedicated pages to explaining some of his best songs’ lyrics, the hidden meaning of some sentences and his inspirations.
In an interview for Rolling Stone, Jay asserted that, “It’s too much. For the book, I was interviewed, people close to me were interviewed. So I was learning a lot of things I didn’t know as a child. It’s not anything I haven’t said in the past, in songs. It’s just more detailed. A song is three minutes long. A book doesn’t have to rhyme, and it has no time limit, so you can say exactly how everything went.”
Jay-Z has been known for being very reserved about his private life, hence the very few details about his marriage with R&B queen Beyonce. In fact, Decoded was ready several years ago, but the Roc Nation CEO has been postponing his autobiography release because he was not ready to share so many personal events with his audience.
Decoded will be presented November 15th at NY Public Library and it will hit shelves the very next day.
