Mariah Carey Refuels Pregnancy Rumors

Mariah Carey has reignited rumors that she is with child. Addressing the buzz about her pregnancy on her official website,Carey thanked fans for all of their concern but said that she wouldn’t confirm the pregnancy at this time.
“I appreciate everyone’s well wishes. But I am very superstitious,” she said. “When the time is right, everyone will know — even [my publicist] Cindi Berger.”
This marks the first time that neither Carey nor her husbandNick Cannon have come out and flatly denied the rumors. In June, when the superstar singer backed out of a Tyler Perrymovie, reports suggested that it was due to a pregnancy butCannon squashed the speculations, telling Star magazine, “Mariah is not pregnant. The timing has to be right. But I can’t wait to be a dad!”
Carey performed at a concert in Sao Paulo, Brazil recently though and was pictured with a sizeable baby bump, sending fans back into a frenzy. Cannon responded during his radio show on New York’s 92.3 FM, saying, “I’ve said it before and I’ll say it time and time again — when my wife feels like talking about whatever she wants to talk about, you will hear it directly from her.”
Talking with Access Hollywood, he added, “The purpose of having a union and getting married is to have a family. Right now, her and I are family, but of course we would love to expand.”
