Snoop Dogg On His Daughter’s Battle With Lupus

Snoop Dogg was guest of ABC’s talk show The View most recently, where, along with his wife Shante and his daughter Cori, he opened up about the challenges his family has been through due to Cori’s suffering from Lupus. When the West Coast rapper and his wife found out their daughter was ill, he and Shante were in the middle of a divorce. However, in order to help Cori, they got back together and they are not afraid to admit that this situation is what saved their marriage.

Snoop Dogg, when asked how he dealt with the news of his daughter’s illness, stated that: “I didn’t know what to do. People look to me for their savior at times. I’ve done a lot of ‘Make A Wish’ and I’ve saved a lot of kid. Now to have this happen to me it was like, what could I wish for except to find a cure to help my daughter to get better.  No money could fix it, no nothing could fix it.”

As for Shante, she has been helping to raise money in order to find a cure for people suffering from Lupus. She is a board member of Lupus L.A. and she organizes fund-raising events for research.
