Say it ain’t so, well not really she said she thought about it, being retired by 30. I wish I could to but I am kissing thirty now so that’s not going to happen. But the singer open up and revealed her inner thoughts; Alicia Keys had commented on retiring by her 30th birthday in the past, and sent fans worldwide into a state of panic, so while speaking with British TV host Jonathan Ross on Friday (January 22), Keys cleared up the statement, and put her fan’s fears to rest.

According to the superstar, she was just saying she wanted the option to retire but she has a lot of things that she wants to do, so fans have no need to worry.

“I was just saying that I would like the option to be able to retire by 30,” said Keys to Ross. “I feel very blessed…but I definitely have so much more to do. I have so many things that I want to do, so many more things I want to get involved in, important things I want to do…I have to perform, I love it so much.”

Alicia Keys recently released her fourth studio album, The Element Of Freedom, on December 11 via J Records. The album spawned two singles, Doesn’t Mean Anything and Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart, and debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 chart, selling over 400,000 copies in its first week. To date the album has sold a little over 888,000 copies.

I did a photo shoot last week and I am posting my shots for you guys to see, I also have a new book releasing 01/26/10 titled Kandy Girlz. Kandy Girlz is included in a Anthology Heartbreaker. The book was just picked as the Book of the month by the Library Journal (which is huge accomplishment  and also received five stars from www.urbanreviews.com. I’m also gearing up for the release of my new book Secrets & Lies and there’s more to come to come from me this year.  My web guy and I are working on a new design for the site that would be revealed after Black History month.  I will spend the entire month of February celebrating Black History like I did last year. Each story reeks of intrigue, hot sex scenes, excellent word play, and great character development. Each conclusion is unique, although De’nesha and Erick’s are poetically justified! Kudos to all three contributors! Magnificente!!!

You can do something you believe in and people will still say, “This sh*t is terrible!” But I still believe in Kanye’s vision. Maybe we didn’t do a great job with getting the point across—it was supposed to be a humorous video. When I read the comments, I was like, Man, I guess no one wants to laugh anymore. Everybody wants the fairy tale, you know?

That’s what happens when you have passionate fans. They feel like they’re a part of your career. So it’s like, “That’s not what I would’ve done for you.” We’re in a day and age when videos are dead. There’s no outlet for them. That video did its job—it was a conversation piece. It has however many million views. It’s great that people love to see you, but videos don’t propel you like they used to. Your video going number-one doesn’t really mean much anymore. ‘Cause it’s only 106 & Park.

Everyone seems to have a comment for me about Young Money, “f*ck Young Money” or “Why are you with them?” But what people have to understand is maybe there was a way for me to be successful without Young Money. But we’ll never know. My loyalty is to Wayne, and that goes for anybody who genuinely believes in me. We don’t have the most personal relationship where we hang out every day or we talk that much, but Wayne’s admiration and respect goes without being verbally said. He put his neck out there for me at a very early stage, and those actions tell me everything I need to know about how he feels about me as an artist.

My question is how far should you go the first time you have sex with your partner. I had a talk over the weekend with my male cousin and I asked them what would make you think a girl is a ho your dating. And they said all kinds of stuff but what stuck out to me was them talking about the things girls do sexually that lets them know they a bust down. I was told when a girl first have sex with a guy she should fall back some, and I said well isn’t this the time to book em. And the answer I got was yes and no, my cousin said that if a chick does to much freaky shit and he just met her than he writing her off as a ho. And I’m like well how much is to much on the first night???
