I am a firm believer career wise to fake it until you make it, it has worked for me. However in my personally life I will not for one second fake happiness again! You are not fooling anyone but yourself and at least at a job you are getting compensated well for your struggles and it that’s becomes too much on to the next one. You can fool your boss and co-workers into training you to do their job, and make good with doing that. But faking a happy relationship; who does that benefit?  You? Maybe your spouse?  Your kids who see you fussing and fighting all the time? Your parents, your siblings or maybe your friends? Are maybe it’s the outsiders who you want to envy you and think you have it all when you really don’t?  

People fake love for the outsiders to believe all the time; but on the inside where no one dwells but them the real shows! And after a while; because you can only be fake for so long, the real shows through to the outsiders as well. Your look, your walk, your conversations and your bitterness tells it all without you speaking one word about your problems you’re trying so hard to cover up. Once saving face for the outsiders has taken a toll over your life; and your looking worn down and stressed out what will you do? One day you will have to face the facts that the people you’re trying to make envy you; are the same people u envy on the low. Those folks who you go out of your way to front for; are the same ones you think about when shyt gets bad and you wish you were somebody/somewhere else. One day you will wake up and wish just to be happy! The question is how long will you fake it before you realize the only thing you can change in your life is who you are allowing in and putting out of it. Happiness starts with self! Is it really worth faking it for others because nobody has to walk in your shoes but you!! Hey it’s your life waste it how you want; but time is the most valuable thing we have because you can’t get it back!!!! I’m speaking from experience because I have already been there and done that and I hated it. Life is only what you make it and you only get what you are willing to accept, so just remember you can fake it all you want to but will you make it? I doubt it… Keep it 100 always because lying to yourself gets you nowhere in life.

Well it’s that time of year where we all say what we will do for the New Year. We make a list of things that seem great but yet we never even accomplish half our stated goals. Why is that? Well personally I feel its procrastination. We all know what’s good for us, what’s bad for us, what we need and what we don’t need. However we sit around and still do the opposite, no matter how much we speak and know we should be doing something else we sit there and procrastinate.

 I went to church yesterday and the pastor preached on letting go for the better. He said you cannot have that breakthrough you need while you’re holding on to wrong.  He also went on to say, we often miss our blessing because we expect everything to come easy and not want to put in the work. I agreed with the message. Year after year I sat there hanging on, settling and dealing with. I constantly was shrugging my shoulders and making due. But how long can you live with just that? I guess that is a question we have to ask ourselves individually. We all have difference tolerance levels; however what will always remain the same for all of us. You will not breakthrough until you let go and live. Let go of whatever is blocking, blinding and hindering your peace of mind and happiness.

You cannot live your life happily without having a peace of mind IMO. You can trick yourself into believing that things are good. You can plaster a fake smile for the outside folks, you can lie and fake it but nobody has to truck into your shoes but you. So go ahead and front, deal with, pretend and hang on to the wrong things all your life. But will you ever receive all that you are supposed to have?  Will you ever fully accomplish all those goals you set up in the beginning of the year? Well trust me the choice is yours and nobody can take that step for the better but you.

The hardest step for a baby is to let go of that table, couch or whatever it is that is balancing them up so they won’t fall. But one day when they’re tired of going in circles, or maybe it’s the bag of cookies that they want some of badly. They stand there and let go and they take that first step to walk, they step out on faith knowing that I might fall, I might not; but I’m going for it. It’s funny how we can learn so much from our kids. But just like that scared little baby who had to believe that they can do it, we have to do the same.  

We have to take that first baby step to better our lives or to get what we want badly, you have to let go of that couch or table that you feel is stable.  If you’re tired of going in circles, if you want to move but you’re scared you might fall, just think about how you gotta crawl before you walk and walk before you run. But you won’t get anywhere until you let go and take a step towards your future. So as the New Year rings in and the months start to roll by; don’t let the promises you’ve made to have a better life fall by the wayside. Don’t be afraid to let go and take a baby step to claim what you want and need. The bible said if you have faith as little as an mustard seed you can move a mountain. Step out on faith in 2011 and let go of whatever that is hindering you from receiving your blessing that God has in store for you. The time is now.  Let go and let God, so hard to do but it’s the only way to do it…

Speculations as to why Rihanna didn’t show up to her best gal pal Katy Perry’s wedding recently suggested that it was a result of some argument she had with her boyfriend, Matt Kemp. But according to the singer, she was forced to miss the wedding to prep for the upcoming release of her album, Loud.

“The album is coming out in two weeks, and I had to be available for a lot of approvals [and check] emails and stuff. We couldn’t get any phone service or Internet service out there. It was scary,” said Rihanna during an interview with Extra.

“It would have been a little irresponsible [to go without Internet or phone service], but she understood, and I was glad that I could at least throw her bachelorette party and be involved somehow…I was crushed. I was really looking forward to it, but she understood.”

As far as any extra details and how the event went, Rihanna said that she only knows what the media has reported because she still hasn’t gotten a chance to talk to Katy.

“[I know] only what you guys have been posting all the time. Like, ‘Oh, she got henna on her feet and hands the night before.’ I was like, ‘That’s cool,’” she said.

Loud, RiRi’s fifth studio album will be released on November 10 via Def Jam Records.  The lead single on the project, Only Girl (In The World), currently rests at the number three spot on Billboard’s Hot 100.

Nicki Minaj seems to be sending some shots in the direction of none other than Brooklyn, New York rapper Lil Kim on her latest track, Roman’s Revenge, which features her alter ego Roman Zolanski trading verses with Eminem’s Slim Shady.

 “Look at my show footage all these girls be spazzin, so what the f*ck I look like getting back to a has-been,” starts Nicki. “Yeah I said, has-been. Hang it up. Flat screen. Plasma.”

 “I’m a bad b*tch.  I’m a c*nt and I’ll kick that hoe — punt. Force trauma — blunt. You play the back b*tch I’m in the front. You need a job this ain’t cutting it, Nicki Minaj is who you ain’t f*cking wit…You outta work, I know it’s tough. But enough is enough,” she raps.

 “Is this the thanks that I get for putting you b*tches on? Is it my fault that all of you b*tches gone? Shoulda sent a thank you note you little hoe, now I’m going to wrap your coffin with a bow. Tension between the two femcees took root after Kim accused the Young Money rapper of stealing her style and not paying homage to her predecessors.

“I always try my best to embrace them but what happens is when you come into the game and realize that I’m not going away and my fans are still here and they can’t just step over me,” said Kim during an interview earlier this year. “If you’re gonna swagger jack somebody and take their style, at least pay the respect and the homage.”

The beef between the ladies died down after Kim neglected to put her issues with Minaj on wax but the Queens MC may have just re-ignited things with Roman’s Revenge. Kim has not responded thus far though.

In other news, Nicki is expected to release her debut album, Pink Friday, on November 22. Aside from Eminem, the project will also feature collaborations with will.i.am and Drake.

With her husband heading off to federal prison for 11 months, Tameka “Tiny” Cottle entered a not guilty plea at her arraignment hearing at the Beverly Hills Superior Court via an attorney, says the Beverly Hills Courier. 

The plea was in response to a misdemeanor drug possession charge that was levied against her last Friday (October 29) following a September 1 arrest in West Hollywood.  She was detained alongside her husband T.I. after the vehicle he was driving was pulled over for making an illegal u-turn. Cops claimed to smell marijuana coming from the car and after searching the vehicle and all of the occupants, located several ecstasy pills on the couple. Prosecutors decided not to charge Tip for drug possession in the incident because he was already facing sentencing from a federal judge for violating the terms of his parole.

 If Tiny is convicted, she could face up to one year in jail, but according to a spokeswoman for the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office, “Nobody ever goes to jail here. They usually go to rehab.” So, she is more likely to receive probation instead.

The former Xscape singer will have to report back to Beverly Hills Superior Court on January 6 for a pretrial hearing.

Toya Carter of Tiny & Toya fame will release a memoir titled Priceless Inspiration in February 2011.  The book will detail the BET reality star’s relationship with her ex-husband Lil Wayne, her daughter, and her rise to fame in addition to serving as an inspiration for other women on how to handle love, sex, motherhood, and relationships. Toya also wants to advise teens on how to avoid making some of the mistakes she made growing up and the struggles she experienced being raised by a drug addicted mother. 

While the publisher behind the book hasn’t been revealed yet, according to BlackVoices.com, the book’s foreword will be written by Weezy.

Aside from the book, the New Orleans native also has a few other projects in the pipeline.  Toya will launch her own children’s clothing line soon and her BET show sans Tameka “Tiny” Cottle will premiere next year.

In related news, Wayne, who is currently serving a one year sentence at Rikers Island in New York for gun possession, will be released this week after having served about eight months. He and Toya maintain a good relationship and decided at the beginning of his sentence that their daughter, Reginae, would not be allowed to visit him while he was in prison.

“That’s no place for a kid to go,” said Toya during an earlier interview with VIBE. “[Wayne and I] decided not to let her go [to Rikers Island] period. She’s never been. He makes sure he talks to his daughter every day, talking and writing is enough.”

Lil Wayne penned one last letter to fans to thank them for their continued support and prayers during his stay at New York’s Rikers Island for gun possession on Tuesday (November 2). He is expected to be released on Thursday (November 4), having served 80% of his sentence, and wanted to make sure that they knew they played an integral role in his surviving the last eight months.

“As I greet you all in my last days on this island, I must reflect,” he started. “I think back to when I first arrived and I had no clue what I’d be experiencing. I was never scared, worried, nor bothered by the situation. For that, I thank God, my family, and you, my amazing fans. I prayed for you all every night, as I’m now aware that I as in y’alls prayers as well.”

Going on, he shared his initial reaction to receiving fan mail, adding, “I smiled like a child on Christmas. But when I began to read them, my heart smiled. I laughed with some of you, reasoned with some of you, and even cried with some of you.”

“I thank you all for being so supportive, as I never imagined how much impact my words and life can have. With this knowledge, I vow to continue to be me! I will be the same Martian I was when I left, just better.”

Wayne also said that he plans to continue to respond to the fan mail he receives even after he is released from Rikers through WeezyThanxYou.com. 

The latter part of the letter was dedicated to his family and friends who also supported him throughout his prison stay. “That sh*t meant a lot, straight up! I would do the same, if not more for you,” he wrote.

As promised, dance-rap phenomenon MC Hammer, who gained popularity in the early 90s with hits like U Can’t Touch This and 2 Legit 2 Quit, released a new song and accompanying video titled Better Run Run this morning (November 1).

Hammer, who tweeted to fans last week that the diss would hit cyberspace over the Halloween weekend, released the song/video combo under the new moniker King Hammer.

According to the rapper, it is a direct response to Jay-Z’s rap on Kanye West’s So Appalled, which was released last September.

“And Hammer went broke so you know I’m more focused/ I lost 30 mil so I spent another 30/ ‘Cause unlike Hammer 30 million can’t hurt me,” rapped Jay-Z on So Appalled, alluding to the Oakland emcee’s well-publicized money troubles.

In response, Hammer pokes fun of the controversial Illuminati rumors surrounding the Brooklyn-based rap mogul, countering with, “The Devil said, Imma give you the world/ I’ll take it, plus give me a girl/ Mr. Devil, can you give me a sign/ He said, throw the Roc up, that’s one of mine.”

Not stopping there, Hammer continues on to say, “If I knock on your door that mean I’m knocking you out/ If I knock on your door I’ll bust you in ya mouth/ New rules, lemme show you the way/ If a rapper talk tough, then he gotta back up what he say.”

The video for Better Run Run also features a devilish-looking creature chasing after a man in a fitted Yankee’s cap. Later, it culminates in Hammer defeating the creature and forcing a baptism upon the man in the hat.

T.I. checked into a federal prison in Arkansas Monday morning (November 1). The southern rapper’s latest sentence stems from a September 1 arrest in West Hollywood, California. He was found in possession of ecstasy, in the presence of a convicted felon, and tested positive for opiates during a drug test. He will serve out 11 months for the crimes, which violated the terms of his probation.

“I can confirm he is in prison,” said T.I.’s attorney Steve Sadow to E! News. “He reported before the due time which I think was noon.”

TMZ.com talked to a spokesperson from the prison where the King Of The South will be spending the remainder of this year and half of the next. According to the celebrity gossip site, T.I. will not be given any special treatment, he will be processed just like the others and will have to pose for a prison photo, and be assigned a bunk. He will also have to use the facility’s community showers. Inmates at the prison are allowed to make phone calls but only up to 300 minutes per month.

T.I. tweeted his fans one last message before surrendering, writing, “Hey yall #teamTI will be holding me down on this front with updates until I return. Thx for your continued support. In a minute No Mercy.”

A 27-year-old pregnant woman was arrested this week after police say she attacked and beat her 6-year-old neighbor, nearly knocking out his two front teeth.

Tiffany Nelson, who is at the end of a full term pregnancy, was taken into police custody for assaulting Ian Fauncho; punching him in the face.

Police believe the attack came after the boy and her son got into an altercation on the school bus.
Ian’s mother, Donadeen Russell tells WSB-TV,

“What were you thinking? This was a 6-year-old child. I mean, I was there, why didn’t you hit me? I mean, you hit a 6-year-old child, you’re a coward.”

Russell says the incident happened in front of her Lithonia home after the mother drove up looking for her child.
